I just completed Advanced Pistol I and am still reeling that so much can be taught in such a short amount of time. Len Baxley and the TDSA-MO team are top notch instructors. Len has the ability to instruct in a manner that is educational and entertaining in an unconventional combination that maintains your full attention. Shooting in and of itself is enjoyable, but improving your shooting by being forced to step outside your comfort zone and truly learn the feel of the weapon and the ergonomic mechanics involved in taming recoil and mastering control of your handgun is awesome. You will begin to learn that your body and mind can achieve speed and accuracy beyond your expectations. The trigger techniques have the very real ability to save lives by all who learn then that alone was worth the time and effort. It was time well spent. As an added benefit, you will leave the class as a member of the TDSA Family. Thank you. Can’t wait for APII.

I’ve been a competitive Highpower Rifle shooter for the past ten years. I decided to attend API after the urging of a number of friends. I’ve never been comfortable with handguns and really didn’t expect to enjoy pistol shooting. Saturday was a day of complete frustration. I’m used to placing shots in a 12” circle at 600 yards. With a pistol, I could hardly hit a man-sized target at at 3 yards. By late Sunday afternoon, I was shooting accurately and I knew that IDPA pistol was going to be my next shooting game. Many thanks to all of you, with extra thanks to Len. His unique and animated method of instruction won me over. By the way, my Glock 34 is on order!

I would like to thank TSDA, Len Baxley and all the instructors for teaching a SUPERB Advanced Pistol I Class. I had a BLAST!!! I came into this course barely knowing which way to point the gun, and came out with a newfound confidence and ability to put two holes in each of six bad guys (WITH a reload) in under 7 seconds. This truly is an amazing class, and Len Baxley is a FABULOUS and fascinating teacher who knows when to push, when to drill, when to explain, and when to add humor. Sign me up for the next classes! And thank you, Jeff, for your kindness and patience with me as a newbie. Also, would it be possible for you to put Michael and I on the list (or wait list, as it may be) for the next classes: Advanced Pistol II, Concealed Carry Course. And Advanced Pistol I (as auditors) Thanks!

Sandy and I had a wonderful learning experience training with Len and crew ! AP1 was two days of intense shooting and believe it or not I was ready to shoot again Monday morning. I would recommend this class to both experienced and beginning shooters. My wife and I both improved our shooting speed and accuracy by almost 50%! I was impressed each instructors attention to safety first! Last but not least Len Baxley is a true wild man ! ; He gave his personal attention to each student. He spared no one! I’m looking forward to seeing you at AP2 training in September.

First, I would like to say that AP I is a professonal crash course in real life pistol shooting. There was no B.S. right from the start. Jeff ,Steve and Len are world class people as well as instructors that only want you to get it. Not only did my shooting improve drastically it put a whole new light on my law enforcement training and self defence teaching. I have nothing but praise for these guys. I hope to see you again soon.

I've been shooting tactical pistol since 1996 and have been involved with IDPA since 2001. The techniques and lessons provided by Len Baxley and the TDSA-MO instructors in AP I improved my speed and accuracy by 33%. Their back to the basics approach combined with a sound foundation for their techniques gave me the skill and confidence I needed to advance. I'm looking forward to AP II. Thanks Jeff, Steve and Len.

Before taking this class, I thought I knew something about shooting. After completing the course, I realize I knew NOTHING about shooting. I would recommend this course to any shooter, from a noobie buying their first handgun to a 30 year veteran shooter. It can do nothing but make you a better and safer shooter.

I was absolutely knocked out by the AP 1 course, it surpassed all my expectations. Len was great; he gets it! He understands that he's there to teach, not tell everyone how great he is. When he introduced each new exercise he personally spent time working on it with each and every student. If one of us was having a problem "getting it" he didn't give up; he found another way to get it across. It obviously mattered to him that every student get as much as they could from the class. Besides the basics, there were so many subtle things that don't all come naturally overnight and without continuous practice, but after seeing them and doing them I better understand what to work on and how each individual action fits with the rest. Now I can "feel" it when I do it right and when I do it wrong. My thanks to Len for coming here to teach and to you and Steve for bringing TDSA to Missouri. Also, thanks to Benchrest for supporting these great activities.

I took the APII class from TDSA for the sole purpose of helping me prepare for the IDPA Nationals. Did it ever! The movement techniques taught in the class helped me immensely! While my movements certainly weren't perfect, just the awareness helped me figure out my movements ahead of time and move more efficiently. My hits on moving targets and shooting on the move improved significantly! This was a great class and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to improve their shooting skills. As a bonus, Len suggested a different reloading techniques that has improved my revolver reloads, as well. Thanks!

I thought APII was great. It offered a thorough follow-up to API and provided me with the next step in tactical/competition training. As always, Len and the other instructors were extremely helpful. Anyone interested in competitive pistol shooting should take this class.

I was very impressed with APII. Not only can Len teach the mechanics, he also had the ability to recognize when the class reached a plateau. Late Sunday afternoon, we were all there. He found the motivation in himself to motivate us to excell. Very well done. This showed how professional TDSA training really is. Many thanks to all...Len, Jeff, Steve and fellow classmates.

My wife and I want to thank you once again for the OUTSTANDING class you just taught. We really enjoyed all aspects of it and its quite obvious by your enthusiasm that you really enjoy what you are doing. The class was informative, educational and you inject lots of humor, which is critical; from sitting through countless work meetings (you can relate) I know how important that is. You are an encyclopedia in all firearm related matters and it is great that you share that with others.

I took your first CCW class after Missouri passed its Licence to Carry law. The class was extremely well run and I learned a lot about carrying a concealed weapon and the responsibilities that go with it. Afterward, I discussed my experience with friends that had taken other CCW classes. Other courses did not cover the Missouri law in the manner that you did. I can't imagine a better course and look forward to taking additional courses from TDSA.
